Impressive packaging...esp as I was worried the stone could have got broken in transit...so a big thank you.
Will need to buy more stones but exchange rate is poor for us Kiwis.

I haven't used every stone in the world, but I know when I stepped up from budget stones to name brands that well-known sharpeners used, the King KDS 1000 was a revelation. I finally understood what this mysterious "feedback" was all about. And the stone had a personality, and the personality was that of an old friend, easygoing and reliable, but honest enough to tell you what you needed to know. I've got plenty of knives for which this is a perfect stone, and I don't need a Maserati to go pick up groceries, you know? For maybe four-fifths of all the knives I own this stone will do a beautiful job and be fun and relaxing to use.
