This was my first real Japanese knife purchase.
I’ve had hand made swords and fighting knifes before that were handmade but never for the kitchen.
Growing up Greek and being in the family restaurant business most of my life I never considered having a Japanese knife until recently.
This knife was a very very big surprise to me.
So light and nimble.
So smooth and thin.
It feels as if it’s slipping through food vs cutting it.
It’s so satisfying to use.
Since it came with a magnolia handle I decided I wanted to give it more of a bamboo look finish.
I went to Home Depot and got some deck stain sealer for it and went to town.
You can’t beat the quality you get for this price and customer service. I’m only buying knifes and other kitchen items I need from here and only from here.

Shipping was fast ( 4days) from Hong Kong. The nakiri was nicely packaged. Sharp out of the box. There was some kind of film covering the whole body of the knife. Using acetone (recommended by the Burrfection help via email), I was able to remove the film completely after 2 hours. Hence 4 stars.
Overall. best nakiri for the price.
