Got this for a Christmas present and love it! Looks, feels and handles like a fine sports car, that I can afford!
It made short work of some maguro otoro I managed to get my hands on. An affordable way to feel like a sushi chef!
Beautiful knife! The craftsmanship, quality, fit and finish shows pride in the final product.
This stone is great for a quick touch up because it does not require soaking.
Looks great, super sharp ! My son loved it as a gift.
I have some old knives that get rust spots after washing. I used the eraser on the knife, and it not only removed the rust, but it removed all the oxidation on the blade. I also used it on some of my tools that had rust on them, and it works for those too. Then I cleaned the bottoms of all my wife's pots and pans. These things are great!
High performance in a small package. Moving from a high quality German set to hand crafted Japanese is a joy. Thinner blade and razor sharp out of the box yields a knife easy to control. Though a petty, almost falls through soft vegetables. The larger/longer size is easier to use and more versatile than the typical western pairing knife. Evenly balanced front/back when using pinch grip. Kurouchi Tsuchime finish eliminates any noticeable sticking even on starchy potatoes. Handle finish is simple, clean, and well crafted. Smooth enju to ebony transitions. Overall a fine example of artisan craftmanship. Well worth the cost.
Watched this dudes videos and also bought a strop made of horse with glass backing. Ships fast and is right what I needed.
It is a prefect set for beginners. The shipping is quick and they pack the set carefully. I will say the 800 stone is ideal for kitchen knives but a little bit gentle for pocket knives. I will purchase another 400 stone to complete my knife sharpening set.
What a nice stone! About an inch thick - will last "forever".
The shipping was super-quick (2-3 days), it arrived in perfect condition in a slick "Burrfection" box.
I hadn't thought i needed a 2000 grit - but was having trouble moving from 1200 Atoma (diamond) to 5000 Shapton on super-hard knives.
This stone fills the gap nicely and cuts quickly, leaving the edge a bit shiny.
The smooth feel of the material makes it easier to keep the edges flat(ish).
Well made and very functional. Great everyday kitchen addition, can’t beat the Stainless for ease of care. Especially fond of the handle.
Stunning craftsmanship and utility, with a razor sharp edge. Especially suited towards precision cutting and vegetable prep. Great shipping and service as always.
Great handle, well balanced, incredible edge, outstanding knife !!! Has become my favorite knife - of my Japanese knife collection !
My new knife is a beautiful piece of art. A great addition to my collection. It's the first Japanese hand made knife that I own with a European handle. It feels good, and works extremely well. I can't wait to become more proficient with it.
Thanks so much Burrfection.
I didn’t expect the knife to be so light weight when I first handled it but since it’s so sharp I feel like the cuts are so effortless! I honestly just started getting into Burrfections vids and picked this up when it was on sale. Best timing ever! My new favorite knife! Just need to find a good cover for it now!
I always wonder. What type of situation do you ever need a Damascus steel scissors? Probably I can think one or two. But this scissor is beyond what I expected it to be. I am spending more time admiring it than acutally using it. The way it handles itself when you use it is nothing short of superb craftsmanship. It whispers elegance everytime you cut or glide. Everything cuts like butter. A collectors item for some but a rad scissor to those who are gonna use it.
