Silky "KPS-190" Chef-X Pro-S 70mm Kitchen Scissors / Shears

This pair of scissors is made of AUS8 steel heat-treated to 58 HRC, that makes its blades harder than most other scissors. The serrated blades prevent food from slipping off when cutting, and the large handles made of heat-resistant resin allow the scissors to be washed with boiling water for disinfection. Especially suitable for professional kitchens.

About Silky

Silky is a kitchen scissors brand founded by Marusho Kogyo, the owner of Mcusta Zanmai. Each and every pair of Silky scissors went through the process of cold forging with a hydraulic press, and accurately sharpened using a precision NC grinding machine.

Care

Wash and dry with a soft sponge, and safely store after use. Avoid cutting into bones, frozen foods, hard fruit pits.

Great shears

Medium to large size shears. Very sharp and precise. Great for deboning chicken wings.

Super nice scissors but for a beefy sized hand

Incredible quality on these scissors. I have medium sized hands for a woman but I had to put four fingers in the bottom opening for a good grip. That left the scissors unwieldy and cumbersome. I considered a return but instead gifted them to my brother for Christmas (lucky him)! I bought two other scissors from the Burrfection store at the same time and I'm very pleased with them(see separate reviews). I've never had such quality kitchen scissors and it's as much of a difference as Japanese knives do. The micro-serrations should grip and cut through just about any food you can fit between the blades! I'll never go back to standard US store bought scissors again (I can say that as I expect any of these scissors will last a lifetime if well cared for : ). These are why I only buy Japanese cutting instruments. Very light, great build quality and hold an edge well. I thought the serrated teeth were sort of gimmicky until I used them - they work very well.
