About Suehiro Cerax 1010 #1000
The Cerax 1000 has always been Ryky’s favorite soaking sharpening whetstones. They are fast cutting, and give great positive feedback, and slow wearing. These have been a top pick for 3 years in a row. This whetstone, paired with a good quality strop, will give any knife an edge suitable to be used in any kitchen. When using this whetstone, Ryky often finishes with the Suehiro Rika 5000, which is a soaking polishing whetstone. Made in Japan

About Suehiro Rika #5000
The Suehiro Rika 5000 is one of those rare polishing stones that give the user great feedback, while retaining good sharpening speed. It can be used by just applying water during sharpening, but a 5-10 minute pre-soak greatly improves polishing quality. The cut speed of this whetstone performs similar to what many 2000-3000 whetstones feel like. Though not as slow wearing as other 5000-6000 whetstones are, due to its soaking nature, it is not considered fast wearing. Ryky has kept a broken Rika 5000 whetstone in his collection for 4 years, and refuses to replace it with a brand new one. Made in Japan

About Naniwa Whetstone Holder
After years of buying and testing dozens of whetstone holders on the market, this is one Ryky’s favorite. It’s one of the only holders that uses truly stainless hardware, and rails. It also has one of the widest footprint of all whetstone holders, which makes it one of the most stable to use.
It will hold all but the largest whestones available. Whetstones that are larger than what this holder can handle, generally will come with their own bases, or are specialty stones that require a much different holder solution.

Very happy with this 6 piece kit, much better lifetime than the cheap combo stones I used before. Shipping was very fast and arrived before expected.
I tried to find it for cheaper elsewhere but the price is very competitive for my area.
Been sharpening cheap steel knives for years on hardware store oil stones. Improved sharpness but never what I hoped for. Bought this kit after having watched a lot of Ryki’s sharpening videos, and have absolutely amazed myself! This kit provides everything you see in his videos and works awesome. With my limited skills, my knives are razor sharp, couldn’t be more pleased. Sadly, has delayed my purchase of much more expensive knives. Very happy customer!!!!
Quick delivery, excellent stones work like treat can't be more happy I am a wood worker and worked with some good wood working stones but nothing like these ones
