Suehiro "Shiramine" Finishing Whetstone #6000
Pickup currently unavailable
The Suehiro "Shiramine" #6000 Whetstone, sometimes (incorrectly) known as Rika #6000, is very much true to the Rika 5K performance and popularity. It is a responsive polishing whetstone and a pleasure to use. It is a great choice for those who want a soaking polishing whetstone, but want something a little finer than the Rika 5K, and enjoy a polishing whetstone that offers great feedback and cutting speed.
If you already own the Rika 5K, and looking at the 6K, Ryky would recommend skipping this 6K stone, and considering the Super Fine 8K. It is also one of the few soaking polishing whetstones in it’s grit range. As usual the "Shiramine" #6000 carries on the Rika lineage within the Suehiro professional family, and offers excellent durability, reliability and sharpening satisfaction.

How to clean:
If the stone’s performance is slowing down, or seems to be diminishing, you can clean using a rust eraser, nagura stone (included), dressing stone, or a flattening plate. Be sure to clean the entire surface of the whetstone when using any of these methods to ensure even wear of the whetstone’s surface.
