Naniwa
Naniwa IT-0130 Hibiki Whetstone #1000
Pickup currently unavailable
Naniwa's Hibiki whetstones are harder than typical whetstones because the material uses a particularly hard bond. They are slow wearing and are mostly designed for sharpening tool blades made of hard steel, although some prefer these stones for sharpening knives of high hardness. The #1000 medium-grit whetstone is ideal for sharpening blades that are not excessively dull and are not chipped. It's recommended to flatten these whetstones regularly, as it may take lots of time and effort to re-flatten the stone if the surface is dished excessively.
