This Flattening Stone is perfectly sized to be held in hand for whetstone flattening. Prior to use, make sure the Naniwa A-102 Flattening Stone has been soaked for at least 30 minutes. Post-application, it is necessary to flush the stone of any residual material generated during lapping.

How to use:
Soak the flattening stone for several minutes until the whole stone is completely wet, then rub it on the whetstone surface until the surface is clean and free of metal residues.
How to clean:
To make sure there is no metal residue as well as the abrasive material from another whetstone left on the flattening stone after use, give it a thorough rinse and allow it to dry between sharpening sessions.
