Naniwa
Naniwa IF-0001 "Snow White" Pure White Whetstone #8000
Pickup currently unavailable
Slightly smaller in size but thicker than the Chosera series, this Naniwa "Snow White" is an ultra-fine sharpening stone known to be giving excellent mirror polishing and razor-like sharpness. Many would describe the stone as a joy to work with because of the feedback. As Ryky suggested, this could be the "most highly regarded #8000 grit stone in the world", and the overall performance will get even better after the 3rd or 4th time of usage. Generally described as a soaking stone, while a lot of people use it simply as a splash-and-go stone.

How to clean:
If the stone’s performance is slowing down, or seems to be diminishing, you can clean using a rust eraser, nagura stone, dressing stone, or a flattening plate. Be sure to clean the entire surface of the whetstone when using any of these methods to ensure even wear of the whetstone’s surface.
this stone has really good feed back, personally I don’t like when the higher grit stones get “slippery” this stone works pretty quick and has great response.
The newest version of this comes with the Kanji is printed on an outer cellophane but the one I got from was printed directly on the stone, which was cool as well.
